I spoke with Dunn County Public Health Director KT Gallagher yesterday. She provided some good information and ideas  about coping with the current COVID-19 outbreak. It's a really fast-moving world at the moment, and the guidelines for public gatherings in Wisconsin have changed since I spoke to her. However, I think the general ideas about caring for other community members are important.

Governor Evers has directed DHS to issue an order to limit all gatherings to a size of 10 or less. There are several exceptions to this rule. Bars and restaurants may only serve food by take-out or delivery. The number of COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin has risen to 72.

State DPI is Waiving Hours Requirements for School Districts

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction today announced updated guidance to school districts regarding the continuity of learning amid the spread of COVID-19 and the closure of public and private schools. The DPI will waive a state mandated hour requirement to districts requesting to do so during the ongoing public health emergency. Districts will still need to file a waiver, per state law, but the DPI will work to ensure an expedited process. Additionally, the DPI is asking Gov.
