Bev, Bonnie and Jamie are working to put a face on the lives affected by the actions of lawmakers. The women are showing Wisconsin the faces of those suffering from addiction.

From Lake Michigan To Foxconn's LCD Screens

No one knows yet for sure how much water Foxconn's planned electronics manufacturing plant in Mount Pleasant will need for its daily operations, but just getting it there will be a big job.

Foxconn and local officials will have to transport massive amounts of water to the $10 billion LCD screen manufacturing plant and treat the facility's wastewater before it's returned into the...

A death on the reservation creates nothing but questions

13 year old Jason Pero was shot dead by an Ashland County Sheriff Deputy on the Bad River Reservation yesterday. This occurred after reports came in about a youth carrying a knife on the reservation. Senate Bill 281/Assembly Bill 353 attempts to fundamentally change cooperative organization in Wisconsin

The Wisconsin State Legislature is scheduled to vote on Senate Bill 281/Assembly Bill 353 tomorrow. These bills call for fundamental changes to the laws governing cooperatives in the state. In particular, the change in cooperative law will allow 20% of the seats on a cooperative board to be turned over to non-members, and will allow cooperatives to award voting power based on patronage, rather than the current one-member/one-vote rule. Cooperative...

Kathleen Vinehout

In this statement, the head of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) confirmed what several years of audits repeatedly found: our state awarded hundreds of millions in tax credits and cash payments to companies to create jobs without ever checking to see if jobs were...
