I know that a lot of you get excited about books. You hear about a book and want to read it. Things being the way they are, a lot of people immediately look the book up on Amazon. But there are other options. You can go to your local bookstore (please). Or try your library. And now there's a way to try your library every time you go to Amazon.
The Library Extension is an easy way for you to do an automatic lookup on your library every time you see a book on Amazon. It just shows up on your Amazon page when you look up a book. I've tried this out, and it seems to work fairly well (though I did see one example of a book that I know the library system has and it did not show up). The extension is available for both Chrome and Firefox. You just install it, set it to your local library, and it works. I've got mine set up for the Menomonie library, and it automatically searches the catalog of the MORE library system and the Overdrive catalog of digital books. The extension also works on the Barnes and Noble site, Goodreads, and Audible.
I know a lot of you are in my position - books everywhere in the house. And let's face it, a lot of those are books you will only read once. Checking out from your library is free and easy and won't clutter your house. Give it a whirl!
