Wisconsin Supreme Court suspends mailing of absentee ballots

The Wisconsin Supreme Court today temporarily suspended the mailing of absentee ballots for the November presidential election while the court decides if the Green Party candidate should be placed on the ballot. 

Election Clerks Receiving Huge Numbers of Absentee Requests

shows 315,429 absentee ballots have been requested across the state. 277,824 of these ballots have been sent out to voters, and 25,961 have been returned to the clerks. 

The date to register to vote has passed, although (assuming in-person voting occurs) you may register at the polls on April 7.

Judge Holds Elections Commission in Contempt of Court

This morning Ozaukee County Judge Paul Malloy has found the state Elections Commission and its three Democratic members in contempt of court on removing voters from the state voting rolls who may have moved. 

Conservative Group asks Judge to hold Election Officials in Contempt

The conservative legal group, Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (WILL) today asked an Ozaukee County judge to hold the Wisconsin Elections Commission in contempt and charge them up to $12,000 per day in a lawsuit concerning Wisconsin's voter rolls.

Elections Commission defers action on Voter Purge - update

The Wisconsin Elections Commission is holding a this morning to, among other things, have an update on the legal status of the purge of voters from the voter rolls. At the moment we have no information on the outcome of the meeting. Updates will follow.

An Ozaukee County judge ruled today that as many as 230,000 registered voters in Wisconsin must be purged from the voter rolls.

Election Commission will have ambitious meeting before Nov. Election

The Wisconsin Elections Commission will hold a particularly long and extensive meeting tomorrow, Sept. 25. Part of the meeting will be devoted to getting feedback on plans to spend the $7 million federal grant for election security. Approximately $2.4 million of that money has been allocated to hire additional staff for security purposes, particularly before the November election. This money will be used to hire six additional staff for the next four years.

Wisconsin/Russia Voter Hacking - So what DID happen?

On Friday Homeland Security notified the Wisconsin Elections Commission that a Russian entity attempted to hack the Wisconsin voter registration system during the 2016 election. Although DHS announced in July that 21 states had been subject to attempted attacks, it was assumed that Wisconsin was not one of those states, since the Elections Commission had not been notified specifically. It turns out that DHS has been very quiet about details.
