Wisconsin to launch COVID-19 contact app

Gov. Evers and Department of Health Services Call on Federal Government to Distribute More COVID-19 Vaccine

Gov. Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) are today calling on the federal government to increase the amount of COVID-19 vaccine doses in the state’s weekly allocations. In just nearly three weeks of vaccine allocation and distribution, Wisconsin built up 1,098 vaccine provider locations that stand ready to give vaccinations throughout the state in order to finish Phase 1A and begin vaccinating more Wisconsinites.

Governor Evers calls for more vaccine for Wisconsin

Governor Tony Evers has called for better availability of the Pfizer vaccine in Wisconsin. Yesterday the state was informed that rather than the 49,725 doses of vaccine that were expected next week the state will only receive 35,100. 

Wisconsin to launch COVID-19 contact app

Governor Evers recently announced that the state will be rolling out a contact tracing app for COVID-19 exposures, to be called WI Exposure Notification. This app uses Bluetooth connections to other cell phone users to keep track of what other app users you have been in close contact with. The application is totally voluntary and must be enabled on each cell phone individually.
