That Gentle Reminder Once Again

It's election time again. Since it is a primary,  people around the state will be voting for candidates in a wild variety of offices, many of them local. Local elections are at least as important as the state-wide and national ones since your local officials are often the ones that have the biggest direct effect on your life.

If you don't know where to vote, check If you don't know if you are registered to vote, go to If you need to see who is on your ballot, go to MyVote is where it's at on election days.

If you have an absentee ballot and have not mailed it back, you may bring it to your local polling place (unless you live in Milwaukee apparently, where they seem to be playing by their own rules). You may also deposit your absentee ballot at drop-off boxes in many areas. In any case, your absentee ballot must be received by 8 PM today to be counted. Postmarks do not make any difference in this election.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission recommends that everyone going to the polls in person today wear a mask. However, you will not be denied the right to vote if you are not wearing one. The polls close at 8 PM for in-person voting.

And for those of you who have voted, thank you!
