The Wisconsin Elections Commission is holding a this morning to, among other things, have an update on the legal status of the purge of voters from the voter rolls. At the moment we have no information on the outcome of the meeting. Updates will follow.

For the second time, the Elections Commission deadlocked along party lines, voting 3-3 on proceeding with a purge of voters who may have moved. For the time being, this means that the commission will not purge anyone from the voter rolls until the litigation around the controversial voter purge is resolved.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission issued a statement after the meeting:

At a special meeting today, the Wisconsin Elections Commission did not pass any motion directing staff to take action on the movers mailing list. This means the Commission will await further direction from the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Wisconsin.  When those courts provide direction, the Commission will hold another meeting to discuss action to comply with the ruling.
