Sarah Godlewski spoke to the Citizen Action Organizing Co-op of Western Wisconsin at their annual meeting Saturday. In her informal talk she spoke about what it was like to take over the neglected office of State Treasurer, what the functions of the treasurer are, and her accomplishments and hopes for the office.

Since taking over the office she has overturned the climate change gag order, and has lifted the ban on investments in renewable energy for her office. She has been working to increase the profile of the treasurer's office and to make it clear that the office does still serve important functions and can be a great force for improving the state.
