Running for Office 101: A Friendly Introduction to Getting in the Race

-An event for women in the Chippewa Valley-

Have you ever thought of throwing your hat in the ring for a local school board election? Or wanted to run for State Assembly but had no clue where to start? Maybe your best friend is a killer public speaker and you want to help her run for office?

Take a step in the right direction and attend Running for Office 101: A Friendly Introduction to Getting in the Race on Wednesday, May 3rd from 6- 8 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation on Farwell in Eau Claire. (Panel discussion begins at 6:30)

We've got an awesome lineup of smart Wisconsin women who have experience in all different areas of politics. Hear from Erin Forrest, Executive Director of EMERGE; Becca Cooke, former campaign finance director; Amelia Neas, Candidate Services Manager for Wisconsin Progress; Kate Beaton, Eau Claire City Council Member; and Catherine Emmanuelle, Eau Claire City Council Member.

This exciting opportunity is open to any and all progressive women in the community who are curious about what goes into running (and winning!) a political campaign. Even if you aren't ready to run for office just yet, it's a great opportunity to learn more about the political process and meet some new progressive faces. Please bring your friends!

Please RSVP to [email protected] if you plan to attend. I hope to see you there!
