The Chippewa Herald is once again holding a candidate forum at the Heyde Center for the Arts, spotlighting candidates in the 67th and 68th Assembly districts.

There is no charge to attend the forum, which will begin at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. at the Heyde Center, 3 S. High St., and coffee and tea will be available.

The forum will feature the two 67th District candidates who emerged from the August primary, Dennis Hunt (D-Chippewa Falls) and Rob Summerfield (R-Bloomer). The 67th District covers most of Chippewa County and portions of Dunn and Barron counties.

It will also feature the 68th Assembly District candidates, incumbent Rep. Kathy Bernier (R-Lake Hallie) and challenger Howard White (D-Altoona). The 68th District includes portions of Chippewa, Clark, Jackson, Trempealeau and Eau Claire counties.

Those wishing to submit questions that could be posed to the candidates should send an email to[email protected].

The Chippewa Valley Cultural Association and the American Association of University Women are joining the Herald in sponsoring the forum.
