People vs. Money on health care

A perfect example of the forces at work when it comes to health care:

Two-thirds of Wisconsin residents surveyed in a statewide poll favored the universal health care proposed by State Senate Democrats -- even after hearing the litany of negatives that opponents of the plan use to trash it. The Capital Times on the survey.

Meanwhile, special interests opposed to the plan have showered millions of dollarsĀ on Assembly Republicans, who oppose the plan, and have also given heavily to Gov. Jim Doyle, who's not on board with it, either.

So, who's your money on in the budget negotiations? Or is that a bad way to put it?
