Governor Evers has directed DHS to issue an order to limit all gatherings to a size of 10 or less. There are several exceptions to this rule. Bars and restaurants may only serve food by take-out or delivery. The number of COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin has risen to 72.

State DPI is Waiving Hours Requirements for School Districts

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction today announced updated guidance to school districts regarding the continuity of learning amid the spread of COVID-19 and the closure of public and private schools. The DPI will waive a state mandated hour requirement to districts requesting to do so during the ongoing public health emergency. Districts will still need to file a waiver, per state law, but the DPI will work to ensure an expedited process. Additionally, the DPI is asking Gov.

White House officials are asking Americans should avoid gathering in groups of more than 10, urging them to stay away from bars restaurants and food courts and asking them to not travel if possible.

Governor to Ban All Gatherings of 50 or more people in Wisconsin

In a series of tweets this morning Governor Evers announced that he is putting in place a ban of all gatherings of over 50 people in Wisconsin.  This is an ongoing story and there will be more news after the governor's 1:30 PM press briefing. Many businesses such as daycare centers, grocery stores, food pantries, hospitals, and pharmacies are exempt from the order.

The meeting started discussing the COVID-19 disease plans.

There are still no cases of COVID-19 in Dunn County. Closing of the schools is intended to lower the spread of disease in the community by flattening the curve.
