Unconscious boat operator rescued from Lake Menomin

According to a press release this morning, the Menomonie Police Department responded to a call at approximately 9:46 AM on April 6 2024 about an un-manned boat going in circles on Lake Menomin. The report was near the Fish and Game boat landing, and the operator had fallen into the water.

Due to the winter storm that is expected to continue into tomorrow, classes in the School District of the Menomonie Area for Monday, March 25, 2024 have been cancelled

At 9:03 PM on Friday, March 15, Menomonie Police responded to an issue at the Kwik Trip at 3M drive in Menomonie about shots being fired. The police secured the area and looked for the source of the gunfire. They located shell casings near a semi in the parking lot and evacuated the area.
