According to a recent update from HSHS, they have restored connectivity to their EPIC software and are now fully functional and trying to finish bringing all of their remaining systems online. They are again accepting appointments and their patient portal is operating.

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) invites the public to help report and manage Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) this fall.

CWD is a contagious, fatal neurological disease that affects the nervous system of deer, elk, moose and caribou. It belongs to the family of diseases known as transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSEs) or prion diseases.

There will be a Community Conversations meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 6:30 PM to discuss the upcoming Heath Care Referendum in Dunn County. The meeting will take place at United Methodist Church, 2703 Bongey Dr., Menomonie, WI. 

The text of the referendum reads "Shall Congress and the President of the United States enact into law the creation of a publicly financed, non-profit, national health insurance program that would fully cover medical care costs for all Americans?”

According to a press release today from Dunn County Health Director KT Gallagher, the first confirmed case of monkeypox in Dunn County has been reported. The individual is doing well and isolating at home. The Dunn County Health Department  is working with the individual to identify people with whom they may have had direct, close contact while infectious.
