Dear SDMA Families and Staff,
It has been a great start to the summer in the SDMA!
Summer school is officially underway, and district officials are busy preparing for the 2023-2024 school year. If you haven't already, please print off or bookmark next year's school district calendar and "Save the Date" for next year's "Meet & Greet" day on August 28 and the first day of school on Tuesday, August 29.
This week the school board approved the hire of a new AD for Menomonie High School. Please join me in welcoming Eric Konsela to the leadership team in the school district. More information about Mr. Konsela can be found in the attached press release.
In order for the school district to plan appropriately for the 2023-2024 school year, it is important that families register new students this summer. If you have any young children who will be attending school in the SDMA for the first time next year, please be sure that they register ASAP. It is also helpful if families who might be new to town are encouraged to register their children over the summer. The Administrative Service Center is open from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Traffic on the district's social media accounts will be limited over the summer break, but if anyone would like to share their school spirit, please do not hesitate to tag the district's Twitter (@SDMAOnline) or Facebook (Menomonie Area Schools) accounts with fun pictures sporting Mustangs gear.
