Minutes were approved unanimously.
B. Approve Addition to 2021-2022 Staffing Plan
The staffing plan was approved unanimously.
C. Approve Adoption of 2021-2022 Budget
The budget was approved by all members except Clint Moses.
D. Approve Certification of 2021-22 Tax Levy
The mill rate has been lowered due to the increased assessed value of property in the area. The mill rate has not been this low for over 20 years. The motion passed by all members with the exception of Clint Moses.
E. Approve 66.0301 Special Education Cooperative Agreement
In this contract the SDMA contracts with Eau Claire schools to provide special education services.
Passed by unanimous vote.
IV. DISCUSSION ITEMS/POLICY REVIEW
A. Energy Plans
Energy use in the district has decreased by 24-25% after the energy plan was implemented. This is a cost reduction of nearly 34,000 per quarter.
