Tonight's meeting was held virtually on the Zoom platform because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A recording of the Zoom meeting will be available after 10 PM. 

Adventures in covering Zoom meetings continue - some of the recording will be a little rough and the first part will have the colors mapped incorrectly as I worked through some of the settings to collect the video in OBS Studio on my end. An official recording of the meeting will be available from the city later.

One other interesting aspect of the meeting is that some of the City Council members did not have power during much of the meeting due to the storm that went through North  Menomonie this afternoon.

5. Unfinished Business

A. Proposed modification of the Mayor’s Proclamation Declaration of an Emergency in the City of Menomonie – discussion and possible motion of action - This was approved by the council.

6. New Business

A. Proposed resolution Petitioning the Office of the Commissioner of Railroads for a railroad crossing on Packer Drive – discussion and possible resolution adoption - this item was approved by the council.

B. Proposed Planned Unit Development from Two Rivers Investments, LLC for a 12-unit building at 2003 9th Street East - discussion, possible motion of referral to the Plan Commission and establishment of public hearing dates  - this was approved by the council. 

C - A resolution to support clean energy in Menomonie was presented to the council by Wisconsin Conservation voters. The members of the council expressed happiness at having the resolution presented and a large amount of support expressed by citizens in email. The resolution was approved.

The council voted to award the bid for a Broadway Pedestrian Overpass at Cherry Avenue to Pember Construction. 

The council discussed a proposed 6-5-1 ordinance amendment eliminating through highway status at Elm Ave./Wilson Street and 9th Street East/14th Ave. East 

Discuss/consider TID #13 Developer’s, Real Estate Tax, and Wastewater Collection Treatment Agreement with Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery. - The TID was approved by the city council by a unanimous vote.
