An Evening of Local Livestock Ed | WisCommunity

The Hay River Area Farmer-Led Watershed Council is hosting an evening for livestock producers in the area to discuss some of the logistical challenges of managing hooved stock. Our speakers and attendees will talk about herd size and profit, erosion control, manure management, and extending forage potential of pastures. Experienced farmers from northwest Wisconsin will share the details of their operations and we will have a professional speaker to help farmers wrap their heads around calculating profit per head and managing their livestock business.

All farmers are welcome to attend this event to talk with their peers and think about the health of the operations. The Hay River Council is hosting this event because our members know that healthy beef operations mean good management of resources which helps the farmer, the cattle, the community, and the ecosystem.

The event is on January 24th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Sheridan Town Hall.
