Menomonie School Board Candidate Forum

The eight candidates for the school board of the Menomonie Area have accepted an invitation from League of Woman Voters – Greater Chippewa Valley, in partnership with the Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce, to participate in an online candidate forum on Tuesday, February 2, 7 to 9 pm.

The primary election will be February 16, where voters will vote for three candidates. The top six vote getters will go on to the general election on April 6, where the three winners will be selected.

Conversation In Color - Defund the Police?

Community thought-leaders come together to discuss issues and topics in our community in the new Conversations in Color Series presented by Uniting Bridges, Converge Radio, and Pablo Center. Episodes will be live streamed on Pablo Center's streaming platform and aired on Converge Radio.  From social reform to real-life navigation of race issues, this series offers weekly sessions diving into the history and future of our community with moderators Dr. Selika Ducksworth-Lawton and Ed Hudgins along with a panel of special guests and experts.

School Board Candidate Forum in Menomonie

Candidates for the Board of the School District of Menomonie will speak to the public Tuesday, Feb. 4, 6:30 p.m. at the Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts, 205 E Main, Menomonie.

The seven candidates are vying for three 3-year terms on the board. The field will be narrowed to six candidates at the primary election on Tuesday, Feb. 18, and to three victors at the spring election on Tuesday, April 7. Voters will vote for three candidates at both the primary and spring elections.
