Navigating Unemployment

We all know someone, or are the someone, who  is struggling with unemployment during the coronavirus pandemic. Long wait times when you call, unable to fill out the application online, or not receiving your money. We are going to be hosting a "Navigating Unemployment" Webinar with employees at the Unemployment Office. They will talk about the struggles they are facing, best practices to be successful when filing for unemployment, and take questions.

Menomonie Special School Board Meeting

There will be a special meeting of the Menomonie School Board Monday March 15, 5 PM, primarily to consider issues surrounding the upcoming school closing. Agenda is attached. 

I spoke with School Superintendent Joe Zydowsky today. WisCommunity will provide a video of the meeting by Monday. Supt. Zydowsky would like to keep the number of community members a the meeting small if possible due to coronavirus concerns, but it is open to the public.

Dunn County CWD Meeting

This is a DNR meeting to discuss the discovery of a CWD-infected wild deer in central Dunn County.

After an informational session, DNR staff will meet with the county's Deer Advisory Council for preliminary discussions on CWD sampling strategies.
