Frac sand mining, processing, and trans-load still pose major issues in Wisconsin.

In addition, the USGS has published a scientific study on the impact of injection wells and fracking waste on streams.  Be certain to take a look at it. The findings are significant.  While WI does not have hydraulic fracturing activity, it is worthwhile knowing what is occurring in areas where the silica from WI is sent to open up the earth and pollute water supplies to obtain fossil fuel energy.
