Right To Harm Film Showing in Menomonie | WisCommunity

Right To Harm - Trailer (BSDFF 2019)

WisCommunity is sponsoring a series of environmental films along with other community organizations. The first film in the series will be shown on March 5, 2020 at 7 PM. The film is called Right To Harm. This is a film about factory farming and the effects of factory farms on communities. It features some Wisconsin farmers, including Lynn Utesch (video clip below).

Right To Harm is being shown by WisCommunity and the Dunn County Chapter of Wisconsin Farmers Union. You may reserve a ticket at https://righttoharm.wis.community (more on ticket reservations later).

Through the riveting stories of five rural communities, RIGHT TO HARM exposes the devastating public health impact factory farming has on many disadvantaged citizens throughout the United States. Filmed across the country, the documentary chronicles the failures of state agencies to regulate industrial animal agriculture. Known formally as Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations – or CAFOs – these facilities produce millions of gallons of untreated waste that destroys the quality of life for nearby neighbors. Fed up with the lack of regulation, these disenfranchised citizens band together to demand justice from their legislators.

This is a  and will take place at the CEC Theater in Menomonie (just off of Interstate 94 on Highway 25). Tickets for the film must be purchased in advance, and for the film to be shown we need to sell a minimum number (78) of tickets. If we do not reach the number, your credit card will not be charged.
