When: Thursday, Oct 13, 2016, 5:30PM - 8:30PM
Are you a vegetarian and tired of cooking the same thing over and over?  Or are you just wanting to eat less meat and want to find other protein sources?  In this class we’ll take a look at a variety of non-meat protein sources and how they can be used.  Chef Jodi will also prepare 2 recipes for you to sample.  A folder of class recipes, along with tips and general information will be given to each attendee. Registration is required in advance, please follow the green “tickets” link above. Chef Jodi has been cooking in various settings since 1997; including short order, quantity cooking for up to 200 people and in restaurants.  She received her Bachelor’s in Business with an Emphasis in Restaurant Management from UW-Stout in Menomonie, WI and in 2009 she received her Associate’s in Culinary Arts from the Art Institute International in Minneapolis, MN.  It was her professors at UW-Stout that encouraged Jodi to continue on to culinary school as they saw she had a gift.  She also discussed with one professor about going grocery shopping for people and cooking meals for them, and he said, “Jodi!  That’s a personal chef and that’s one of the fastest growing careers there is right now!”  From that moment on, that was Jodi’s goal – to become a personal chef.  Currently she has personal chef clients that she goes into their home and cooks meals for them, does in-home dinner parties or other specialty parties such as graduations, anniversaries and showers.  She also started teaching cooking classes in people’s homes, through the Menomonie Community Ed, and now at the MMFC.    She is a member of the United States Personal Chef Association, Menomonie and Eau Claire Chambers of Commerce, and is currently working on a book with 12 other chefs, called, “Behind her Brand,” with Author Chef Deb Cantrell.  Jodi loves what she does and describes going into clients homes and cooking “her sanctuary!” Tickets:
