Mindfulness, the energy of being awake and aware, can nourish your life, as you experience being fully present to whatever is before you: a dish to wash, a weed to pull, or a conversation with a friend.  Mindfulness supports wellness by cultivating awareness, ease and understanding.  During the two-hour workshop, participants will learn the technique of breath meditation as well as practical ways to generate the energy of mindfulness and a compassionate presence in activities like speaking, listening and eating.  First time participants are very welcome as well as those who have some past experience or seek a refresher. Warren and Marion Lang lead Red Cedar Buddha Sangha, a mindfulness community practicing in the Zen tradition. Warren received lay ordination from Steve Hagen, founding teacher of Dharma Field Zen Center in Minneapolis. Marion was ordained as a member of the Order of Interbeing by Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. For more, link to Limited class space, registration required.
