Our guest speaker, Heidi Oberstadt, is a Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters member, Stevens Point City Council member, and photographer. She will discuss her work to create change through her photography. Heidi is studying visual communications an how to change attitudes with her photos, particularly around subjects of environment, water quality, and politics. She says, "It is fair and accurate to say that my interest and political involvement with groundwater has changed the course of my life." Kate Beaton, organizer for Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters, will share information about the most pressing environmental issues our state is facing, and how we can take action to defend our air, land, and water.

Erin Klaus, co-owner of Tangled Up In Hue, will reveal the art collective's new "Make Our Planet Green Again" T-shirts. Proceeds from their sales will go to Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters. Shirts will be on sale for $20 at the event and at Tangled Up In Hue through the month of September.

We will also hear music before and after the program from local band, Squirrel Talk, folkloric, ecocentric music based in Eau Claire WI. "Music from places we apprentice like prairies, denuded mountainsides and mysterious streams."
