First COVID-19 Case Reported in Dunn County

March 19, 2020 - 5:42pm

A case of COVID-19 has been reported in Dunn County. A press conference will be held tomorrow morning at 10 AM  to provide more detail and to outline plans for protecting Dunn County residents. We will attempt to provide a live stream of the press conference tomorrow. This comes on top of the declaration of an emergency by the county board in last night's board meeting. We will have more information in the morning. There will be a meeting of the local emergency planning committee before tomorrow's press conference.

From the press release:

Dunn County Health Department (DHCD) announced today that there is a

confirmed case in Dunn County. We believe the case to be associated with recent international or

domestic travel. The individual remained under self-quarantine as requested by local, state, and

federal recommendations.

“We are in contact with this individual to monitor their symptoms and ensure they are receiving

support to be able to isolate at home,” said KT Gallagher, Dunn County Health Department Director.
