Road conditions becoming treacherous in Chippewa Valley - Tuesday, 1/12/2019

This is getting tedious and I'm beginning to think I should just keep promoting this to the top. Road conditions are again terrible through the entire state, and reports are coming in of I-94 being shut down in several places due to accidents. Please do not travel if you can avoid it, and if you do go somewhere be extremely careful.

Putting the Conn back in Foxconn

In a morning, Louis Woo, special assistant to Foxconn Chief Executive Terry Gou suggested that plans for Foxconn manufacturing in Wisconsin may be scaled back again, and may in fact not include any manufacturing at all.

Cancelled - Menomonie School Board Meeting and Mid-year budget hearing

Tonight's meetings are cancelled due to freezing rain. All other Menomonie School District evening events are also cancelled.

Jan. 14, 2018 - this will be the normal monthly Menomonie School District board meeting. The mid-year budget hearing will proceed the board meeting.  Schedule:

Budget Hearing: 5:00 PM

Board Meeting: 5:30 PM

Girl Scout tragedy strikes the community, forces us to look at drug abuse

The recent horrific accident in Chippewa County that took the lives of three local Girl Scouts and an adult supervising them on a road clean-up has shaken both the scouting community and everyone in the area.

Wisconsin dairy crisis on Nightline

Last night's Nightline program featured the dairy crisis in Wisconsin. Watch local farmers, including Farmer's Union officer Sarah Lloyd as they discuss the dairy crisis, the current administration, and the upcoming election.
