The HVAC system at the Dunn County Historical Society has failed, both making it difficult to heat and cool the building and endangering the collections at the Rassbach Museum. I spoke with Melissa Kneeland from the historical society. This is the video of the zoom call and a machine transcript:

Menomonie Police make arrest in death of 6-week-old

On Friday we reported that the Menomonie Police were investigating the death of a 6-week-old child. On Feb. 19 the police were called to 2421 4th Avenue North for a report of a disorderly male, later identified as Jonathan Scott Lucas. Lucas led the police to an infant who had no pulse and was not breathing. Life-saving measures were attempted but failed. The infant was later identified as Daemyn Michael Lucas.

Menomonie Police report infant death

February 26, 2021

On 2/19/21 at approximately 11:36 pm, the Menomonie Police Department (MPD) responded to 2421 4th Avenue North for a report of a disorderly male. When officers arrived, they encountered an adult male at the door and were directed to a six-week-old male infant that was pulse-less and not breathing inside of an apartment. Officers attempted life saving measures on the infant. The infant was then taken to Red Cedar Mayo by the Menomonie Fire Department (MFD).

Missing Downing teen found

Update - according to the Dunn County Sheriff's Office, Aryanna Lee has been found, so they thank the community for their help and no further assistance is needed.

The Dunn County Sheriff's Office is seeking information about the disappearance of a 15-year-old from Downing, WI. According to the sheriff's press release:

Update - power was restored to all areas within a few hours - in time to get power back to people before the cold snap set in.

Winter Weather is here again
