Each school submitted staffing requests for next year. The total of all requests is about 1.8 million dollars. The requests are being split into services just to keep up with current services (Level 1). Level 2 is additional staffing requests of about $523k.  These are seen as beneficial to the students. Level 2 includes additional music, counseling, a transition coordinator, etc.   Level 3 and 4 are also considered good services but there likely will not be funding for all of that. The current budget reflects an additional $200 per student in funding but it is currently not clear what the state budget will look like. The hiring environment is competitive and it is hoped that some of these jobs could be posted soon. There was some discussion about the different levels and possibilities of some adjustments.C. 4K Programming AgreementsDIscussion of increases in funding for 4K programming.D. SDMA Employee Compensation for 2019-2020CPI will increase salaries. Returning teachers would mostly recieve an approximate $1975 increase. Tanya Husby raises issue of low pay for paraeducators. There was a lot of discusison and negotiation on this last year. Several board members agreed with this. The new pay scale removes the lowest range of pay scale and adds another at the top so that there is still a place for long-term teachers to increase.E. Strategic Planning UpdateF. Review Items Related to Next Meeting Dates, Board Committees, and Reports5. CLOSED SESSIONA. Action to move to closed session for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(c), and for the purpose of considering financial, medical, social or personal histories or disciplinary data of specific persons, preliminary consideration of specific personnel problems or the investigation of charges against specific persons except where Par.(b) applies, which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories or data, or involved in such problems or investigations, pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(f) and (1)(b), Wisconsin Statutes.B. Action to Approve Closed Session Minutes from February 25, 2019C. Discuss Principals and Directors Evaluation Reports and ContractsD. Preliminary Consideration/Investigation of Charges Which if Discussed in Public Would Adversely Impact Reputation6. RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSIONA. Action to Reconvene in Open Session for the purpose of taking action, as deemed necessary or appropriate, on any matter discussed or deliberated upon in closed session.7. ACTION AGENDAThe board went back into session to discuss policy and forms used for evaluation of the supervisor (this was taken off of the consent agenda by board member Jim Swanson.)8. ADJOURNMENTA. Action to AdjournThis agenda is posted at Menomonie Public Library, Menomonie High School, Menomonie Middle School, district elementary school sites (school year), Menomonie School District Administrative Services Center and online at .This agenda is subject to change.
