Yom HaShoah is a day when Jews around the world set aside time to remember our six million ancestors who perished in the Holocaust. In addition to remembering their lives, we honor the Righteous Among the Nations, our non-Jewish brethren, for their brave and heroic efforts to save those whom the Nazis would have seen obliterated.

This year’s Yom HaShoah program takes place online due to Covid-19 gathering restrictions. It will feature music from CU Music Professor Andrew Cooperstock, a candle lighting ceremony from local teens, and guest speaker Maria Krenz, a Boulder resident and Holocaust Survivor, whose story of survival is both humbling and inspirational.

The program is sponsored by Haver, the Rabbinic Council of Boulder, The Boulder JCC, Congregation Har HaShem, Congregation Nevei Kodesh, Congregation Bonai Shalom, and Adventure Judaism. It is free and open to everyone. The registration link can be found on the Boulder Haver website: www.boulderhaver.org/upcoming-events.
