Wind Symphony and Symphony Band Concert

The Wind Symphony and Symphony Band celebrate 100 years of bands on campus. The bands will perform a variety of standard and contemporary compositions for wind band as we honor the past and look toward the future. Music includes Over Wild Solitude by Katherine Bergman, Handel in the Strand by Percy Grainger, Jodie Blackshaw’s Symphony No. 1, William Goldstein’s Colloquy for Trombone and Symphonic Band, Cade Passe, trombone soloist (2020 Concerto Competition Winner), Karel Husa’s monumental composition Music for Prague 1968, and more. Dr. John R. Stewart and Dr. Phillip Ostrander, conductors.
