Sustainable Community: Renewable Energy and Faith
Calendar
Celebrate the recent successes of city, county, and university efforts, and hear their visions for becoming more sustainable communities and how *you* and your faith communities can support your legislators/political leaders in doing more.
Learn from RENEW Wisconsin, Citizens’ Climate Lobby, and Interfaith Power and Light how YOU can be part of a sustainable future.
Examine the values that motivate you and others to take action on creation care and sustainable communities.
We will serve a free lunch from 12:15 to 1:00 pm, then the program will be from 1:00-3:00 pm. In keeping with our sustainable energy theme, lunch is being catered by Just Local Foods, and will include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free sandwiches, and fruits and veggies, and deserts made by members of the participating groups.
This is a joint production of Plymouth UCC, Grace Lutheran ELCA, First Presbyterian Church (PCUSA), Eau Claire Friends Meeting, JONAH Environmental Task Force/Eco-Spirituality Group, Wisconsin Interfaith Power and Light, Wisconsin Council of Churches, Citizen's Climate Lobby - Eau Claire chapter, and RENEW Wisconsin
