Membership Meeting: Environmental Town Hall | Wis.Community

Facebook Events near Menomonie

You are invited to attend a town hall meeting to discuss the environmental challenges facing our local, national, and global communities; and explore how Democrats can effectively take the lead to make the political change needed to solve these important issues.

The purpose of the meeting is to generate productive and respectful conversation. The meeting will follow a structured format with time limits for comments and ground rules for dialogue.

The meeting will be attended by Dan Rowher-Nutter, a representative from the Environmental Caucus of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, who will engage with members of the audience. Comments from this meeting will be recorded and shared with the Enviromental Caucus to assist in their work to promote environmental stewardship in electoral settings.

As part of their mission the Environmental Caucus of DPW is visiting with members of county parties throughout the state to hear about the issues they are most concerned with and the solutions they would like to see pursued. The Environmental Caucus's goal is to ensure that our candidates and elected officials fully appreciate the large diversity in environmental challenges we face so that our messaging is consistent and focused as we work to take back our government and turn our hopes for greater environmental protection into legislative realities.
