Racism in America-Changing how we talk to each other. Speaker: Beth Hartung.
Beth is committed to changing how we talk to each other so we can overcome growing divisions on the highly polarized political landscape and hash out our differences, understand each other, and ultimately decide together what kind of society we want. Much of her work is done through Blue Jean Nation.
Beth grew up in Dunn County in the Eau Galle area and attended  Elmwood High School. She has had a variety of rich and life-altering experiences living and working in the USA and abroad.  After graduating from UW-La Crosse in 1988, Beth spent nearly a decade in the Japanese school system, including three years as an instructor at a nursing college.
This event is co-sponsored by Community Conversations and Menomonie Public Library
