Join us this coming Monday at the City Council for a Public Discussion and presentation from the Chippewa Valley Regional Housing Task Force - draft findings and recommendations on how we can ensure more affordable housing in coming years. This is a chance to hear the Report and we want to hear your thoughts and perspective as well!

Since June of last year, the Cities of Altoona and Eau Claire have partnered to lead a Regional Housing Task Force, which is framed as a “voluntary assembly of stakeholders collaborating to better understand housing challenges, investigate solutions, and facilitate elevated cooperation.”

Staff from Altoona and Eau Claire have been working to update and finalize both a 35+ page full, formal report (with data appendices) and an executive summary. Come down to hear their report, as well as share your thoughts and opinions on how we can move forward!

On Tuesday, City Council will take the report and all of your input, and at our Work Session will plan next steps and which policy goals we want to focus on. That will be 4pm on Tuesday - also a public meeting but there is no public input during the Work Session.
