Marvin Pratt gets another acting  job -- er, interim job:

Acting Milwaukee County Executive Lee Holloway has appointed former acting Milwaukee Mayor Marvin Pratt today to serve as interim county executive until after the April 5 general election.

Pratt previously served as acting mayor in 2004, when John Norquist resigned.  If the county board confirms the appointment, he will serve until the special election  to choose a replacement for Scott Walker in April.

I seem to recall his line in 2004 was, "I am the mayor and I'm not acting."

"I'm the executive and I'm not interim" doesn't have quite the same zing.

AFTERTHOUGHT:  Pratt was almost the only black person in the room at Walker's election night victory party, with no reward yet in sight.   Will his next gig, come April, be in the Walker administration, having shown he can do Walker's old job?
