The great thing about reporting on press-free meetings is that the media is free to report third-hand, make things up and hype it to the max.
That appears to be what happened in reports of the "smackdown" at the White House between President Barack Obama and a young Congressman who started his remarks by saying, "Hey, I'm that Ryan guy."
