We got knocked down.

We should have done more of this and less of that and lots more money would have been nice, but at the end of the day that doesn't change the fact that we got knocked down. But, we only lose if we decide to to stay down.

Stay down and accept Walker's demonization of public workers and go along with him blaming them for the recent economic meltdown.  (And, yes, at the core, this is what this is all about.)

We know that's not true.  We know that before the meltdown, as a percent of our GDP, we were actually spending less on public workers than we were 20 years ago.  Teachers, cops, snowplow drivers, fire fighters and other public workes had nothing to do with the economic meltdown.

And I refuse to "make nice" and go along with Scott Walker or anyone other bully that tries to blame them for it.  It's not only morally wrong, but takes our eyes off of the real culprit: greedy wall street moguls.  If anyone wonders why these same moguls gave Walker so much money to stomp-down the recall effort, the answer is simple:  To keep an angry electorate, sincerely concerned about the economy, focused on teachers and snow plow drivers and not on them!

Unfortunately, Wisconsin is no stranger to bullies that try to falsely demonize others. And unfortunely, we don't toss these bullies out as fast as we should. Remember, Wisconsinites on the right side of history tried to recall another bully-- Joe Mccarthy.  They got knocked down, too.  But, in the end, Joe Mccarthy went down a few years later.  And stayed down.

The same will be true for Scott Walker. We are on the right side of history.
