We have re-opened registration on the site

For some time now we've run in the mode where new accounts for the site are only available at our discretion.  This morning I've changed the site so that you may register for an account, but we will approve or deny your registration.  An entry-level registration will give you slightly more privileges for commenting on the site.   Any futher permissions on the site will be at our discretion.  If the spam in comments starts to escalate again, we'll possibly reconsider.

Also note that one change here is that as of now all comments by anonymous people will be moderated.  So - if you want to be able to comment and have your comments appear immediately, you will need to register for an account.
