This video, "Water Wake-Up Call: America’s Conservation Crisis,” alerts Americans to the growing need to save water. It also gives an update of how far we’ve come as a nation since the first Earth Day in 1970. It points out solutions to carefully manage this precious resource.

It includes interviews with former Rep. David Obey and Tia Nelson, daughter of Earth Day founder Gaylord Nelson, and was produced by Sheila Nero, a former Milwaukee Journal and Journal Sentinel reporter who now lives in Michigan and does environmental public relations.

It is corporate-sponsored, but that doesn't interfere with the message: Water, like every other natural resource, is in limited supply and we must conserve it to avoid a crisis.
