Gov. Scott Walker's attempt to take over the Board of Veterans Affairs at once and name the department secretary himself has split two of the state's traditional veterans groups, Milwaukee News Buzz reports.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars has endorsed the proposal, but the American Legion has gone on record in opposition.
