[img_assist|nid=43305|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=89|height=100]In another revolting display of Republican will, the VoterID bill has just passed the state Senate, despite many attempts to amend and delay the passing of the bill by Democrats. Most Democrats did not respond to the roll call vote, with only Tim Carpenter, Jon Erpenbach, Dave Hansen, Jim Holperin and Bob Wirch registering no's.

A great kerfuffle arose during the roll call, with the Democrats asking for adjournment, while the Republicans moved forward.  The bill finally passed on a 19-5 vote, after a one hour limited debate today, which abruptly cut off commentary by the Democrats. Cries of "Shame" erupted from the gallery,a s Senators Risser and Taylor continuing to object to the cutoff in debate.   Now cries of Recall are coming from the gallery and some of the Democratic senators.

The bill now goes to Governor Walker for his signature.
