Video: In Heated Back-And-Forth Interview Walker Claims He Was "Not Involved" in GOP Gerrymandering Scheme

In a heated meeting with the Beloit Daily News editorial board, Scott Walker claimed that he was "not involved" in the recent heavily gerrymandered redistricting that he sighned into law:

BDN:  Do you think the results of the redistricting were fair?

Walker: ...(long pause)... well, as it has been historically, the governor doesn't get, I mean I don't get involved, directly involved in that."

Then, Walker later says that while he supports redistricting reform in theory, it is not a top priority because  "people didn't elect me to do that."

Of course, Walker's claims of not being involved are ridiculous:  His admininstration was clearly calling the shots and hired the Republican front group law firm Michael, Best and Friedrick to draw up the new legislative district lines in such a way to maximize Republican representation in the Wisconsin legislature and U.S. Congress.  Which is why even though a majority of Wisconsinites voted for a Democrat in state assembly and senate races, the Wisconsin Republicans still hold strong majorities in both houses.

What's even more laughable, though, is Walker claiming that he only does things people elected him to do, when he has spent almost all of his time as governor implementing a tea party agenda that people never elected him to do.  Trust me, Gov, nobody is going to complain if you take-up a cause that is real reform and actually good for the state of Wisconsin.
