Source: FBI "Equal Partner" in John Doe Investigation, Aided in Brett Davis Search

[img_assist|nid=134162|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=220|height=133]In response to the recent revelation that Brett Davis' home was searched as part of the John Doe investigation, a high ranking Wisconsin law enforcement official says that the FBI not only assisted in the search, but is an "equal partner" in the John Doe investigation.  The source said that the FBI is "certainly doing more than just offering a helping hand."

While publicly the FBI, for unknown reasons, has held out that they were simply lending the John Doe investigation occasional manpower and resources, there is a long chain of evidence to back up the source's statements, including:

  • FBI agents about "the caucus scandal, how it worked, how they covered stuff up, that sort of thing."
  • One of the two lead John Doe prosecutors has a dual role as a U.S. Attorney. This gives him the power to call on the resources of the FBI and it would also allow him to build a case under the Federal "RICO" law that is often used in complex, organized crime prosecutions.
  • Walker's attorneys have been spotted in the Federal Court House and have refused to answer if they were there on Walker's behalf.

More coming soon.
