[img_assist|nid=40899|title=Mr. Monopolee|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=95|height=100]A Milwaukee Journal Sentinel headline today warns that:

Wisconsin job growth hits skid in May; slowdown bodes ill for Walker goal

... that, goal, of course, being his pledge to create 250,000 jobs in his first (and hopefully last) term of office. The story goes on to note the paltry job creation statistics in Wisconsin and nationally for the month of May.

But, you see, that's Scotty's "get out of jobs free" card. Because here's how politics works these days:

1. If Wisconsin does see the creation of 250,000 jobs by 2014, that will be proof that Scott Walker's draconian spending tax cuts and huge tax breaks for corporations worked, and it will be portrayed as evidence he deserves another four years in office.

2. But! If job growth is below that number, whether it's to the point of anemic, then, of course, it's all Barack Obama's fault.
