'Ryan could have won presidency, but that would have been a step down'

Maybe Christian Schneider gets paid by the click, which would cause him to write crazy things to get more attention. If that's the case, we should not help him get any more. But this one's just too loopy to ignore.

Schneider, a jolly good fellow at the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute, a right-wing propaganda machine posing as a think tank, actually says in a National Review Online blog that Ryan would have won the presidency if he had run, but that would have been a step down from his position as House Budget Committee chairman.
