The AFL-CIO is sending another round of mail to union members in Wisconsin this week.  The effort targets the Senate, gubernatorial and congressional races.  This week the mailers will dig deeper into the 7th and 8th Congressional District races.

Two mail pieces that highlight Sean Duffy and Reid Ribble’s willingness to ship American jobs overseas will be hitting union households in key congressional districts this week.  The mailers state that both Reid Ribble and Sean Duffy have pledged to continue tax breaks that encourage big businesses to ship our jobs overseas.

The Gubernatorial mail piece says that Scott Walker could not govern his way out of a brown paper bag.  As proof, the mail piece points to Scott Walker’s job cutting and pension slashing record as Milwaukee County Executive.

The Senate mail piece reveals that Johnson will threaten worker retirement savings if elected.  Another Senate mail piece that will be going out highlights Johnson’s willingness to support trade policies like NAFTA and CAFTA that ship American jobs overseas.

The mail effort, which reaches thousands of Wisconsin union members weekly, is part of the Labor 2010 program which began in July with an aim to educate union members about the importance of the midterm elections.  Volunteers are reaching out to fellow union members in support of AFL-CIO endorsed candidates by making phone calls, going door-to-door, and handing out work-site leaflets daily as part of the Labor 2010 program.
