So, today's poll results can't be interpreted as anything other than horrible news for Scott Walker and Wisconsin Republicans. The poll highlights:
- Former Senator Russ Feingold, beats Walker 49-47 in a potential race for governor. In such a match-up, Feingold leads independents by a 52-42 margin.
- In match-up with other lesser-known Democrats, Walker is narrowly ahead, however, fails to poll over 50% against of them-- a harbinger of bad things to come for any incumbent.
- Walker was able to gain the least amount of support (46%) in a potential match-up with Rep. Ron Kind, where the poll showed the La Crosse Democrat only trailed Walker by a 46-42% margin, with eleven percent undecided.
- In a rematch with Senator Ron Johnson, the poll shows that Feingold would win 52-42.
- Walker is slightly upside down in his approval rating with 49% saying they disapprove of the job he is doing and 48% saying they approve. Among independents his approve/disapprove is 45/51, among men it is 54/44, and among women it is 42/55.
