Out of the Hopper, into the popper

It was one of the rare times I didn't have a camera with me, so I couldn't take a snap, but someone else eventually noticed the juxtaposition and took one of their own. "Hopper" is State Sen. Randy Hopper (R-Fond du lac) who is trying to retain his seat in a recall election despite revelations that he has a mistress, who was hired in hired on February by the state Department of Regulation and Licensing as a limited term communications specialist. at a salary five figures above that of her predecessor. Gov. Scott Walker's chief of staff reportedly recommended her for the job. Hopper and his wife are in divorce proceedings.

You'd think the crack Hopper campaign team could avoid this kind of gaffe going into a special election in which he is the underdog, but apparently not, even though Hopper himself is a media baron who owns a small chain of radio stations.
