Done celebrating?

A couple of questions on the morning after:

(1) Will Scott Walker and the Republicans insist on dragging out the process -- and costing more money -- to verify and challenge petition signatures, or can we have an election now?

(2) If there is going to be a Democratic primary, as it now appears likely, can we conduct it in such a way as to prevent it from killing the eventual nominee?

One of the criticisms my leftier-and-purer-than-thou friends used to have of me when I was running campaigns was, "All he cares about is winning." I used to plead guilty as charged. (Shades of Vince Lombardi!)

Point being, all of us -- loyal Dem Party members, newly fired up activists, organized and disorganized labor -- need to stay focused, eyes on the prize. This is all about getting rid of Scott Walker, and any Democrat who runs would be a vast improvement. Let's try not to kill each other off.

For the record, I don't have a horse in this race. All I care about is winning. Anybody have a problem with that?
